Like millions of people back in the UK, we spent years watching A Place in the Sun. We’d sit in Manchester, watching the presenters wander through the whitewashed streets of Frigiliana, wondering if that life was actually possible.
For us, Chris and Rachel, the answer wasn't just "yes" it was the start of Davison & Brogan.
Beyond the TV Screen
When you see Frigiliana on TV, you see the breathtaking views and the cobbled hills. But what the cameras don’t always show is the incredible depth of the community. When we traded the Manchester rain for our own "place in the sun," we didn't just want to retire to a terrace; we wanted to build something that contributed to the village that had captured our hearts.
From Manchester Ambition to Spanish Innovation
Our Manchester upbringing taught us that if you’re going to do something, do it properly. We saw the potential of the local "Green Gold" (our organic avocados) and realized that while many people come here to find a home, we had found an opportunity to create a world first.
Moving here allowed us to combine that British entrepreneurial drive with the world class produce of the Axarquía.

"Hi, we’re Chris and Rachel. We weren’t born in Frigiliana, but the moment we arrived, we knew this village was where our hearts belonged.
We created Davison & Brogan as a way to give back to the community that welcomed us. By combining world-first innovation with the local ingredients that make this region so special, like our organic avocados and heritage sugar cane we hope to leave a legacy that both locals and visitors can be proud of.
