The Spirit of Frigiliana: Why Chris and Rachel created a legacy for the Village

When we first moved to Frigiliana, we didn't just find a new home; we found a community that welcomed us with open arms. As Chris and Rachel, the founders of Davison & Brogan, we’ve always felt that this village gives so much to everyone who walks its narrow, winding streets.

Eventually, we realized we wanted to find a way to give something back.

An Innovative Tribute

We are deeply aware that we weren't born in these mountains, but our hearts are firmly rooted here. To truly integrate and honor the experience of living in the Axarquía, we wanted to create something more than just a business. We wanted to build a legacy, a world-first innovation that even the local families who have farmed this land for generations could look upon with pride.

That inspiration led us to the countryside of Frigiliana and our organic avocados.

The Avocado Innovation

Most people associate gin with a sharp, dry finish. By distilling with the fruit of our local groves, we’ve achieved something entirely different. Instead of a standard texture, our gin offers a velvety, luxurious weight on the palate, a creaminess that carries the botanicals longer and more elegantly than a traditional spirit.

It wasn't easy to master the distillation of such a delicate, oil-rich fruit, but we knew it was the only way to capture the true "Spirit of Frigiliana."

"Hi, we’re Chris and Rachel. We weren’t born in Frigiliana, but the moment we arrived, we knew this village was where our hearts belonged.

We created Davison & Brogan as a way to give back to the community that welcomed us. By combining world-first innovation with the local ingredients that make this region so special, like our organic avocados and heritage sugar cane we hope to leave a legacy that both locals and visitors can be proud of.
